Air Pressure Test Results Announced for Fast-track New Build

The latest TALO project to receive excellent air pressure test results is March Hares in Hindhead, Surrey.
This is an EPC A-rated, 280sqm property which went from foundations to watertight in just FOUR days, ready for the fast-track fitout.
It achieved a test result of 0.58 m3/hr/m2 – well below the maximum requirements of 8m3/hr/m2 set out in Building Regulations Part L1a and L2a (England and Wales), and exceeding the more stringent Passivhaus energy standards.
TALO’s dry timber approach – from forest, sawmill, factory and to site – and the use of robust offsite manufacturing processes combine to significantly reduce air permeability and achieve these outstanding test results which exceed the new Future Homes Standard. This means significantly lower energy costs for every home built using our housing solutions.
According to TALO Founder and Executive Director Bengt Magnussen:
"Well done to the TALO team and to main contractor Oakmont Contracting for their work on this fast-track new build, which has achieved such fantastic air pressure test results. With our energy strategy and quality of build, the client has the benefit of significantly lower energy bills and maintenance costs."
March Hares was the second TALO project to be designed by C7 Architects - the first being the neighbouring property.
