The exceptional thermal performance of the TALO superstructure system has evolved over the last 40 years and the completion of more than 30,000 homes in Finland and Norway.
Our system has been tested in some of the harshest climates on earth - from wet and windy coastal regions to the extreme cold of the Nordic countries where temperatures are as low as -50° and as high as the mid-30s.

How we achieve outstanding thermal performance
1. Higher levels of thermal insulation, pre-installed in the factory for increased energy efficiency, air tightness and protection against moisture.
2. A service void between the plasterboard and thermal board to accommodate electrical installations without penetrating the vapour barrier or reducing air tightness.
3. A corner solution with stitched seams, insulated with mineral wool and polyurethane foam to keep the wall structure warm and dry and preventing heat loss.
4. The thermal board is joined with the insulation in the foundation, and sealed with polyurethane foam for superior performance.
5. Load bearing frame and mineral wool insulation.
6. Moisture-permeable wind barrier that reinforces the frame, GU plasterboard for timber cladding, aquapanel for render, OSB-board and Tyvek with cavity barriers to accommodate brick cladding if required.
7. An effective ventilation space between windbreaker and exterior cladding to protect the structures from moisture ingress.
